think i might be on the spectrum but i’m not diagnosed. i’m scared to go to disability center and ask if they can help with a consultation or refer me to someone. what if they don’t, or what if i’m just making it up?

This is so valid and I get how it can be scary, but remember that: 1. The disability center is there TO help people; they want to and would love to help you get answers. Obvi anyone can work at a front desk, but the person you’d talk with during a consultation has gone to school and done training for this. This is what they’re passionate about and were willing to spend tons of money on learning how to help 2. How will you know if you’re making things up if you never go?

Also if you WERE making things up then you wouldn’t be worried about this. People who lie about it don’t worry that they might be lying or perceived as lying

I’m sorry if any of the wording in my comments was weird or didn’t make sense; I’m so tired right now 🥀 I just want you to know that it will be okay and that if you never go then you’ll just feel even more anxious. The anxiety won’t stop until you go and get closure. You will make it through this!! ❤️
