For my fellow autistic girlies who also have ADHD, have you ever felt that taking ADHD meds made your autism “worse”? /gen. Asking because I’ve heard others mention it. I do feel like my autism was less predominant, until I burnt out and started meds

I’ve been on meds for almost a year now, and they’ve helped, but I’m still not back to my usual, active self. I’ve been more reserved and afraid of being perceived. Though a part of me has always been a bit shy, I spent most of my life being active and outgoing, even if usually by myself. I do notice my autism symptoms more, and now I’m worried I’m “losing the other half” of me :/

I felt like taking ADHD medication brought out more autism symptoms than I could notice before

I wonder if it’s because you’re adhd symptoms are suppressed by the meds which means you’re noticing a lot more of the autistic things you do
