How do I survive college? I love being isolated in my room with no people in the dark and I just go nonverbal for days. Its extremely overwhelming learning new things and being around so many people help help help

I used to isolate myself a lot when I first started college and it ended up taking a huge toll on my mental health. It may feel difficult but it truly does help to get involved with activities and make sone friends. I used to never go to on campus activities and now I go to every one i can if for no other reason to get free stuff lol!

Try to find one or two friends! I know this sounds crazy hard right now, but if you have any interest you really love, you can find people on campus who share that

I would say book a study room at the library or something just to get out of your room but then you still have the quiet privacy. Just having a secondary space is always good and then you can expand outwards from there

Class work absolutely gets overwhelming but don’t be afraid to use your resources. Get accommodations for extra time if needed, ask professors and classmates for help and if you feel like you really can’t handle a certain class/prof don’t be afraid to drop. That’s my advice to you. Good luck out there you got this!
