Hi! I’m going to go through a testing appointment and intake interview appointment soon. I have adhd and anxiety and I’m scared my doctor will chalk all of my problems up to the comorbidity of adhd and anxiety together and think I’m functionally fine because I have a college degree. Anyone else been through this or have this fear or similarities?

If you’re comfortable, what other things? Or DM. I also have a few other things so maybe we share some :)

What made you decide to get diagnosed now? I’m scared of the results being negative and then just invisibly struggling for the rest of my life if no one can find a diagnosis to help explain my behavior and functioning

i decided because i had a gut feeling i was autistic ever since i was a small child, also when i went into my first year of college i knew i was going to need accommodations so i can do my best. plus because i want to better myself and learn more ways to do that.

I called the back of my insurance card and got my insurance assistance to help me find a psychologist that could diagnose me with autism ADHD. You may have to do that if you have insurance, your insurance will most likely cover it.
