I feel like my roomie is always upset and I can only tell she’s not when she chooses to interact with me. We get along really well mostly but I genuinely can’t read her. Any advice? -sincerely, an autistic undergrad freshman

maybe have a conversation about nonverbal/verbal cues and that they aren’t going to work like they traditionally would for them? Or maybe just like a mood grid, that you can both put where yall are feeling at any point in time. Or, watch a bunch of recent tv about teen/college girls, and pattern match 👍

They might just be having a rough time and it could have nothing to do with you.

I might try pattern matching cus it feels like safer territory

Just be careful, and try to avoid Disney channel stuff for example. They are empirically over dramatic. Watch shows made by women or praised by women👌
