Someone pls give me reasons why an ABA tech job would be horrible (im autistic and dont know much about aba therapy bc i had “she’ll grow out of it” parents but havent heard good things about it) i didnt schedule a “kickoff call” myself for onboarding lol

Tbh it doesn’t need to have the same problems it did before. I’ve even heard of people changing things so much that it’s not even really ABA therapy but because they call it that more insurances will cover it. It all depends on what YOU do with the position (obv caution about following guidelines since you’re new though, but those guidelines depend on the place)

It’s a great starter job. I did it 10 years ago. Now I’m a psychologist.

Now I’m sad that they moved on w other people because I didn’t call them for a “kick off call” (the emails and wording made it sound like I finish onboarding tasks online, they call for the kick off call info bc everytime I logged in for onboarding it showed 100% completed 😞🫡)
