lowkey i really really felt like that at multiple points in my life but after i started viewing gender as something i perform, not something i am, it really really helped. like i am a floating orb! but sometimes i look very masc and sometimes i look very feminine and thats ok because im still myself, like i am the orb, i just change my outward appearance sometimes. the way i dress is literally just me customizing my character
I relate to people who talk about gender like character customization because that’s what it really feels like to me, I’m a female but I never felt like a girl or woman based on how my mind works and how I live my life compared to all the other girls/women I grew up around, sometimes I dress fem and sometimes masc, I wish it could just be left at that
I hate how the world treats gender nonconformity, especially being autistic it’s hard enough as is and people are plenty mean enough, thats the only reason I stopped and the difference is insane. Ppl think it’s “quirky” or “ditzy” as a femme presenting person but before I got called slurs and life was so much more difficult for lit everything
