Yeah thats generally how it goes. Making a list of my symptoms helps me bc sometimes i can forget, and dont be afraid to ask questions and bring up these symptoms (if they dont ask it already) bc its your health at the end of the day! Also make sure to bring your insurance card and id. Have you booked an appointment or is it more like an urgent care/er youre going to?

Yeah i don’t have health insurance or a doctor right now so i figured i could just go to the er? Ive been in really bad pain for like a month I’ve just been scared to go. Will they ask me what tests and stuff i want to do or will they just know based on my symptoms? I never really had a doctor my mom used to just take me to the health department

This is for the USA right? Assuming yes, they will bill you just for the visit and also any tests they do. So you can reject some tests but then youre still billed for the visit and also it sorta defeats the purpose of diagnosing what youre going through. So maybe try to find free health care clinics around you or reach out to your state resource center/public health so they can direct you to resources. Bc those bills are not cheap usually 🥲🥲

If you don’t have health insurance, you can often work with their billing department and get it reduced or get a payment plan. Good luck. I hope you get the relief you need
