Anyone else ever wonder if they're actually nonbinary or just too autistic to be what they were raised to believe a woman is

Yes!!!!!! Like, I identify as gender fluid, but I also just don’t really understand what “man” and “woman” mean??? Like, I talk with my mom about it and she’s just like, “yeah, I’ve never really doubted or questioned that I’m a woman, it’s just a part of who I am”… WHAT?!?!! I thought for the longest time that people just identified as it because they thought they should. Idk, it’s so weird!

Yes!! I actually recently learned about the term “autigender” and it’s basically that one’s experience of gender and one’s experience of autism are too closely linked to be separated. For me it works because sometimes I don’t even feel like I fit in with people so why would I feel like I fit in with a smaller group of people (women). But usually I just tell people I don’t gaf how they refer to me because it’d be too complicated to get into it

Honestly makes sense because people literally are socialized to perform gender & that sounds similar to how people with asd either don’t pick up on or are resistant to social norms/cues
