This happened to me too. I started college and would still talk to them occasionally then only sometimes then rarely. Eventually i gave up and stopped reaching out first and we never spoke again. Unfortunately its just how things go and people just grow apart sometimes. But hey if you play your cards right you will find friends ten times better in college just like i did
