They are two different systems with two different interpretive sets. It’s not one versus the other. It’s like comparing sugar cookies to chocolate chip. One is not more correct than the other, some people just like Vedic more than western tropical. I will tell you most of the stuff here in the states is tropical because Vedic is deeply tied to Hinduism so I personally practice tropical to not culturally appropriate
