No. I have books that I studied and have practiced readings for about 4-5 years.

That’s so cool! When you originally said self-guided I took that as if you picked up a deck one day and just did it without research and study.

Absolutely not. That would be dangerous and irresponsible. I cleanse my deck after each reading and my personal deck is separate.
