Honestly it sounds like you’re doing a great job. If you can, eat meals with her and try and convince her to go to therapy

I’m sorry you’re having to watch this. As someone with an ED I feel it’s critical to tell you, you cannot fix her. This is a heavy disorder and the only way she can recover is with serious help and some part of her has to want to be truly better. It’s wonderful all you’re trying to do for her but please don’t let yourself go crazy or run yourself dry trying to help her. Do all you can to support her, but if it’s too much, it’s okay to leave for you. I wish you the best and I hope she can heal

She needs therapy, and forcing yourself into the role of her therapist will be a detriment to your relationship

I scratch off and sharpie off all the calorie and serving size info on the back of everything I buy for her

I have scheduled messages every day to remind her to eat bc she says she forgets and that the messages would be helpful

I give her as many compliments as humanly possible - physical and personality

Her scale is one of the ones that can’t be adjusted to show lower numbers

She is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met, way out of my league, and it physically pains me to see her be unable to look in a mirror

Thank you. Helping her or supporting her isn’t taxing to me. I’m not trying to fix her, I know that can only come from changing root thought processes. I want to be by her the whole time

toss the scale- one of the first things that helped me recover from my ED was throwing it out. next thing was to stop being on instagram so much because i kept reinforcing my own insecurities by looking at negative comments left by men on videos of women who looked like me or had features like me. i always felt they were more beautiful than me so i would disagree with the man but then apply the criticism to myself. if you know she spends a lot of time on social media, i recommend screenzen
