Ibuprofen doesn’t do shit to cramps. It’s only for inflammation. Keep some naproxen

Are there some small enough to fit easily into backpack compartments with a lot of other stuff?

Yes there are! I keep some in my backpack. Also keep midol- it’s specific for period pain but it’s the most wonderful drug for it- sans birth control
