there’s different cords for different brands, if rec looking up the brand if you know it for more info

Mine is currently rigged up to charge using duct tape, a bandana, a ponytail, and VERY precise placement 😭

Yikes, that sounds like an electrical accident waiting to happen. Like people have been shocked by beat up phone cords. So at the very least, use a lot of "Electrical tape".

Oh and be careful allowing your cat around those cords. In my experience they don’t have the safety shut off they should. My cat set my bed on fire chewing through one. Luckily we both came out fine, my mattress pad burned slow enough to put it out and I only had a mild burn on my leg. Now I use them only in a surge protector with an off switch.
