Food is an important part but DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF, focus on nutrition and what fits into your lifestyle. Starving yourself will lead to worse health problems and probably more weight gain. I would focus on yes healthy meals but just moving your body everyday, even a 30 minute walk is better then nothing, try to get into low impact sports such as swimming, and just get excited about changing for the better and not force it to be a chore then you can start getting into a more rigorous routine
Track your calories and be in a deficit is the most important thing. Eat anti inflammatory foods. For breakfast do something light like oatmeal and eggs, the fiber and protein help with digestion. Drink a lot of water. Limit alcohol. Energy drinks and coffee (try low calorie sweeteners) help reduce appetite. Lift but with that also do cardio. Find forms of cardio you love, I love swimming!
eat lean meat & protein, along with monitoring your portion size. i also recommend cutting back on sugar and carbs as those are the main things that mess with weight. i did this and it helped me to lose around 20-30 pounds. i also recommend finding an exercise routine that you like (i do pilates).
