I’m a guy so lmk if I should delete this comment and I absolutely will, but I thought I could add a different perspective as someone who’s spent a lot of time in male spaces. In my experience it’s because they see weight as unattractive and they’re so self centered and egotistical that they automatically think their beliefs are the standard. They’re also wildly insecure and compensate by thinking that if they can force you into a position they see as lesser, that it means they must be greater
