It is and isnt- society will say they are lucky but the judicial system is doing a much better job at holding everyone accountable. All I can say is that if people speak up, it will be addressed. I got it, it’s a tough subject but you have talked to people meaning you can talk to the proper ones that can actually deal with your situation. You cant expect anything to be done about it if you don’t speak up because the perp more than likely won’t. You can definitely be mad at the people that wronged you but at this point you are doing more harm to yourself than good by not telling the authorities.

Tbh I feel like men are more likely to be sexually assaulted/raped by other men than women. Not saying that the latter doesn’t happen, I just think that statistically these crimes are more likely perpetrated by other men.

Good point, also could be a timeline difference as well? Women may prey on younger boys and men may prey on young adult women? I don’t know the statistics and could be very wrong but hopefully I’m getting the idea across lol

Mmmm I don’t even think the statistics for women praying on young boys is any way comparable to stats for men preying on younger girls. If anything, boys are once again more likely to be victimized by men. Again, not saying it doesn’t happen with women, just that it’s very rare. I feel like we hear more about women preying on boys on the news bc of its rarity but also as like some misogynistic propaganda perpetrated by the far right.

Valid points. I don’t normally prefer to bring politics into topics but it seems like it could be relevant here. I am just not educated on this topic enough to say any particular party does this or that. I definitely agree that men seem to prey upon anyone they could overpower in general. I was like 14 and had some old dude like in his 40’s try dm’ing me nudes. Shit was wild. I told my parents and they introduced me to social media cleanses and made sure I was ok😂🤷🏼‍♂️
