Why do some women think it’s not homophobic of them to hate/refuse to entertain a man just because he’s bi?

Because they are homophobic

As with many similar questions. The answer is astonishingly good old fashioned ✨homophobia ✨

yeah i have an ex friend who claimed she's progressive but said extremely biphobic things. idk what it is. i don't care. i don't judge body counts or past relationships (as long as there's no cheating, abuse, etc) who cares lmfao let ppl be who they wanna be. as long as he's loyal i really couldn't care if he's dated men

They can pretend they aren’t all they like but when they’re actively being biphobic, they’re biphobic.

I had a friend who recently came out as bi in front of me, 2 other friends, and a girl he was hooking up with by out right saying “yeah I fuckin love ladyboys” bc he was drunk. And the girl straight up was like “ew” and rly hurt his feelings understandably. He left and I talked to the girl about it, and she didn’t seem to have a real problem with gay people. She straight up said it throws her off bc she knows what the gay men hookup culture is like and is afraid of STDs, and also….

Well yeah lol but I mean the same women will swear they aren’t and otherwise “act” or “be” super progressive an accepting, I’m genuinely asking if yall have like friends like this or something. Cause I don’t understand how that tracks to them lmfao

I think it’s “not homophobic” in a similar logic way to like saying I love gay people and think they should have all the rights but don’t kiss around me”. Not that same way but similar logic idk how to explain it

If you think only gay people shouldn’t be allowed to have public displays of affection that’s not believing in equal rights😭

i've def heard women be homohobic (biphobic in this case) but i have never heard it from anyone who actually is progressive. it's usually from yknow the type of girl you'd expect to hear it from lmao

Yea I can kinda get that, but I think those people knowingly pretend they’re accepting when in reality they are literally disgusted by gay people, and anyone saying that tends to be either older than 35+ or as uneducated as someone of that age. Meanwhile Ive gone on dates w one of the local ally activist girlbosses and when I told her I was bi she called me a slur for “not telling her sooner” lol

Idk why I typed dates it was one date and I left her to pay after that lmfao but it’s kind indicative of my broader point that tons of seemingly and self-seemingly (if that’s a term) progressive women in our generation see it as a “preference” to assume bi guys are gay (because it’s not the first time I’ve had a similar reaction from a woman of that type, I only date progressive relatively outspoken people)

Personally I don’t know anyone who’s progressive who acts like this post thankfully but I have seen a few people online who say that they wouldn’t date a bi man. The slur is especially crazy though. Ig these people come in all types, even generally progressive.

Didn’t like that the bi guy had his weener in another man’s asshole bc of poop particles (and that shit is a real thing) so I kinda understand the logic but she was rude asf about it and fr hurt my friends feelings. I honestly thought he was fucking around abt liking lady boys until later in the night. Anyways that’s my fuckin dawg, and she ended up apologizing and now they are cool but don’t hook up anymore.

Bruh that’s just gross of her. And no it’s not rly understandable logic. Unless you’re disgusting you will be washing your dick between hooking up with a man and getting with a woman. As for STDs, they are always a valid concern but bi guys should be testing between partners the same as straight guys, STDS happen to all genders and orientations. It’s about the person not the sexuality,

The ladyboy thing kinda confuses me tbh, like isn’t it 99% a thing in Thailand and places around there. And like being trans but also kinda its own thing? Like I don’t think most trans people would appreciate being called a ladyboy and idk if that’s what they were doing in this or not

There is no reason for a woman to not like bi men EXCEPT homophobia. As long as it’s a respectful faithful man then being by will have LITERALLY no impact on the relationship. The ONLY reasons a woman may not be into bi men are rooted in homophobic assumptions.

If a man being bi makes you feel “icky” towards him then I think you need to dig into why

upvote 9 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #3 4w

Yes it is definitely a thing but the term is highly fetishistic of transfeminine bodies. The term reduces transfem ppls worth into how sexually appealing they are and inherently doubts trans womanhood. There is def a distinction but the misogyny comes in like in this case of the commenter and the guy perceiving that attraction as gay. Does that make sense idk if i explained it well

You should be able to answer some reasoning why you would be interested in a guy but do a 180 if he said he was bi, not liking someone “just because” is shit avoidant reasoning, even if you have to actually think for a second

Oh for sure but many ppl who fetishize trans women call them ladyboys outside of that context. Its like with femboys and traps and all those other terms in many contexts in the us that is highly transmisogynistic to call a trans woman that and in my experience its done intentionally to exaggerate the taboo of trans bodies :(
