Trying pilates as a dude, what are some advice that you wish u knew before u started?

This goes for pilates and yoga: if it hurts, stop doing it! Soreness is okay, thats just your body saying its just not used to it. Pain is your body telling you it will experience damage if you continue. Learning the difference will save you so much unnecessary pain

That I can’t do it bc my left knee cracks and pops every single time when I extend it a certain way that I need to for a lot of the moves 😭

the nice thing about pilates is it’s thoroughly adjustable to ur own level and they always tell everyone options to make it easier and harder and adjust the springs for you if they see you struggling. also ur deep core strength will go crazy, if u want even more try solidcore cause holy craps every possible piece of my abs was on fire after that
