I believe any trans woman should be welcome into sports but should have to have been on hrt for a year before she can compete (I’m saying a year because that’s the general advisement of time to be on it before you can get bottom surgery) but if any trans women would like to educate me on why or why not that would be a bad policy I am very open to listening

as a former varsity collegiate athlete, absolutely not, and i’m tired of people pretending trans men who couldn’t cut it in the men’s leagues and then switched to women’s and broke all the records etc is somehow okay

oh yeah totally normal and fine that a man who swam 3 seasons for UPenn varsity and could only make it to 65th nationally transitions and then immediately is 1st nationally in womens and everyone should just accept that

imagine training for years as a woman to be the best at your sport and then some trans person who just transitioned literally last year from the men’s leagues comes in and beats you because the men’s leagues obviously have way faster times than womens bc surprise biological differences! Lia Thomas’ time that won the women’s national finals (if it had been put in the men’s leagues) would not even have MADE the men’s finals or come close to it.
