I take the opposite approach, I seek out and befriend good people to bolster my faith in humanity. I believe we can increase the proportion of good people by improving societal conditions, healing generational trauma, and forming strong communities. I think the powers that be want us to have a negative view of humanity because they win in that social environment

I really wish that was the case but the growing rate of the individualistic nature of people, being a good person simply is not enough. It wasn’t the powers that be that mad me start detaching, it was people; way before his first term. We can’t increase the proportion of good people with the few good we have because it becomes draining, I know because I would always go out of my way and now I don’t want to because bad people are really good at being bad and hiding it.
