Best approach would be to do it while she’s not working, but in this situation that’s pretty hard. Just be exceedingly polite and not pushy. She’s probably handled this before, so be one of the good ones, and know how to take a hint in case she says no

Leave her alone and let another guy take over. You’re probably just gonna be a bother to her anyway, save yourself the humiliation.
