Should I go to therapy if I’m in my last year of college but still cant stop thinking about a girl who harrassed me, spread rumors, and ruined my life senior year of high school. (Im a girl). Idk if it’s normal to still feel this way, but she ruined

I absolutely think therapy will help. It doesn’t matter that it’s been a while. If it still bothers you it still bothers you.

There’s no time limit to therapy. Even if you’re in your last year you can definitely still go especially if it’s affecting you. Unless you mean using the campus one if you have one and with that I wouldn’t know. Maybe a local one would be better so you can continue to see them post graduation

Ruined my life, my image to others, wanted to ruin college for me, I literally wanted to kill myself and sometimes still do remembering everything she said about me. I never received an apology and probably never will. Idk how to move on at all and I HATE having to come home from school for breaks where I’m very much reminded of it

Yea I mean I’ve dealt with bad rumors before but this was beyond. She wanted me dead and wanted to ruin my name in our town so bad that I would never want to come back here and I guess that’s exactly what she did.

I’m so so sorry you went through that. I’ve had some experiences with bullying and I’m mostly past it after years of therapy. These experiences suck and it’s not your fault. And how you feel is completely normal.

So is bullying and being harassed so bad they want to kill themselves. Anyone can benefit from therapy.

Defenitely trauma. But the type of things she said such as wanting to kill me or email my college lies to ruin college for me just haunt me and I live in constant paranoia that she’s gonna post my name all over everywhere to ruin any future job opportunities. She wanted to RUIN my life and although it’s been a few years it brings me anxiety every day.

I was kinda worried for a sec bc our stories seemed aligned🫣 but that’s wildly fucked up.
