Don’t worry so much about it, bmi is not the most accurate thing, there is so much it doesn’t account for. If you really feel like you need to make a change I would recommend incorporating a little bit of exercise into your daily routine, but if you already do then that might just be the weight your body naturally settles at and that’s totally ok. I know someone that height and weight and she doesn’t look bad at all!

Guys BMI does suck but quit commenting that you aren’t helping that wasn’t the point of the post. Yes, 158 at that height is on the bigger side. No, that’s not the end of the world. Honestly? Try finding some recipes online for healthy versions of you favourite foods, especially high volume recipes. Also, tons of water, and if you want soda diet only. Slowly build some exercise into your routine, even just pushups/:sit ups/squats in your room. You’ve got this, you’ll get there slowly.

Bruh what? Bmi is unreliable sometimes in terms of what a ‘healthy’ weight is. Meaning you can be a lil over or a lil under and still be at a healthy weight. But unless you are a body builder or built up a lot of muscle mass, bmi is definitely highly accurate. And you are definitely not just a lil over. You are definitely pretty over weight my friend. Now you definitely not obese which is where you dont want to be so thats good.

Everyone’s metabolism is different. Exercise 30-45 minutes a day and keep the 80/20 rule for eating healthy, hydration should be a priority.

Yeah thats true, its not ideal but its also not super bad(in terms of health) to be overweight.

And don’t be too hard on yourself. Have a cheat meal here and there. Eat a pint of Ben and jerrys or something once every couple months. If you go too restrictive you’ll never stick with it. Start slow, and let yourself enjoy stuff on occasion, that’s the only way it’ll work long term.

You can think whatever you want. But when 65% of americans are overweight, we really need to start calling things what it is, and you are clearly not at a normal weight thats for sure. Now you dont have to feel ashamed about it or anything. But pretending that bmi is innacurate or that you are not on the bigger side, just because you want to feel better about yourself, is probably how you got to this weight in the first person and is probably only going to make things worse.

Listen to what commenter #10 has said as he/she gave some good advice on how to lose weight

That’s why I feel it depends on how you feel, because people may have different definitions of “healthy”. regardless of doctor advise, If you feel good, it most likely is because you feel healthy.

Well my fatness only goes to my thigh and back, that’s why. And I’m not American so I think it’s a little bit different. But thanks for your help!
