No it’s just interesting how human populations change over time. Idk why men are taller than women, but I do know that more K-selected species tend to have larger males while more r-selected ones tend to have larger females. (Also note that this selection theory isn’t always true or useful). Big females make many babies, which creates a reproductive advantage. Maybe lower reproductive rates foster physical fighting among males, increasing their size?

If that trend is changing, if women are becoming taller compared to men, that would imply either selection or genetic drift are at play. And I think there are many changes in sexual selection now after we all but abolished long-standing systems of gender inequality.

Personally I prefer partners that are close to my eye level, and coincidentally I also greatly value equality. Coincidence? Idk
