realizing i may actually be fat 😦 how do i start getting serious abt working out ? i want to go to the gym…in theory but it’s hard cause im busy idk what to do im 21f and idk it’s messing w the way i see myself

i recently got into swimming because i hated going to the gym, it's a real workout and i've already been noticing body changes along with a cleaner diet. Really you'd only need 20-40 minutes to get a good workout in compared to a normal gym sesh that could take an hour +

and this isn’t to say that fat is bad but since starting college i eat a lot more out of boredom so it’s weird having the extra weight

Losing weight is 80% diet. You don't have to work out as long as you are eating on a deficit.

Diet is a big part but for most people losing weight they'd have to go on a pretty restrictive diet to lose weight in a reasonable amount of time which isn't as sustainable/productive, and depending on the person can lead to other health problems by not getting enough nutrients. Working out along side it gives much more leeway and makes you a lot healthier, everyone should be working out and moving their body regardless of weight loss or not

Well duh but as someone who went from 300 to 230 a huge part was diet. I do very light exercise, mostly walking so...

And my diet wasnt all that restrictive, just limited myself to a certain amount of calories and ate around that
