They’re worth the money if you think spending X amount can relieve some stress or pain and/or induce some relaxation. I’ve gotten 3ish massages maybe and the “stranger” part never concerned me because they’re professionals. They feel just as awkward as you but it’s their job and they want to make you as comfortable and relaxed as possible. If there’s ever something you’re uncomfortable with you do have a small “consultation” of the sort beforehand where they go over what they’re gonna do

if you are generally sore or your muscles are tight, a dollar a minute is reasonable for a good massage

I know someone who had a masseuse put her hand on his… You know! And she didn't say anything in the moment because it was one of those “huh” moments where you're uncomfortable and don't know what to do.

And the clothes you may or may not have to take off - but again, only stuff you’re comfortable with. There are specific massages you can get too:) maybe you’d be more comfortable with just an upper body massage than a full body one. So if you want to get a massage girl, get one! Find someplace professional and not the ones in the back of nail/hair salons😭
