Also unless he has a very controlling family and he couldn’t leave them until now, don’t respond. You deserve someone with more spine than “you shouldn’t talk to her” from his mom and he blocks you.

How old was he when he blocked you? Was he living under his parents’ roof? Best case scenario, he’s finally gained the independence he needs to be his own person and he’s worked through the issues commonly associated with helicopter parents. Worst case, he’s still under his parents’ thumbs and will likely have trouble ever standing up for himself, let alone you. Up to you. But keep your eyes open nonetheless
