Porn needs to be banned. Porn and anything along the same lines especially OF. This is coming from a man.

As a woman I get being annoyed with unrealistic expectations and the negative sides of it, but I don't think all of it is bad as long as you don't let yourself get wrapped up in it

I agree that im tired of pornbrained men, but not in the way you mean it (just referring to anyone who watches porn). Yes, some porn is bad/unethical, but I think it would also be bad to ban EVERYTHING porn-related or NSFW (ik you only mentioned porn but i also wanna talk about nsfw sites so im bringing it up) Sex-ed is so bad i didnt even know it was possible to masturbate/orgasm as a woman, and I never wouldve learned about it or other womens health issues if it wasnt for an NSFW site i found

Idk no matter how you slice it they continue to behave this way. Brothels started whole towns in our countries history. Even when men are taught to not be thus way they just hide it and I argue the hiding it often makes it worse. Then we get giant secret organizations like the Epstein island. I wish there was an answer because most of the women in the world want men to step and shape up and they’d rather fiddle with their weiner and act shitty and defensive to everyone in their life.

Porn is misogyny. Get better because it hurts women and children. It’s likely that you’ve watched videos of rape or revenge porn or even child porn. That alone should help you stop. If it doesn’t then there’s something else deeply wrong and sick within you.

I think they mean in the way it often depicts women, with extremely unrealistic looks and behaviors, also often having them be viewed as objects. It isn't all of it, but it's a decent amount/majority.

A lot of it, but not all of it. Some is created by women. We as women have drives and desires too; it's misogynistic to think it couldn't appeal to us.

Even when it is created by women, sometimes the woman has been trafficked, manipulated, or groomed to create porn. I didn’t say anything about women not having sexual desires. I’m talking about pornographic images and videos

Men watch it more and often set unrealistic standards to women when they do have sex, women don’t usually do that

I agree that some of that does happen, but it's not all of it. And btw I do know women can be misogynistic as well, unfortunately. Also the trafficked and grooming part is obviously absolutely terrible and sickening, but some of it is just people who wanted to do it.

theres also websites that have educational porn, i know thats not most of them but i feel like its unfair to say everything should be banned when there are actual good sites out there set on educating people about sex and sexuality i wish there was a better way to verify that all porn being uploaded was ethically made, one way you can stay with well made or more ethical porn is just to research the company or producer of what youre watching!

personally, i watch porn and will continue to watch porn because it helps me orgasm faster and prevents my mind from wandering while im masturbating (when i dont watch it, it takes me +3hrs to finish because my mind will wander) the best we can do if we consume porn is to make sure its from as ethical of a source as possible, and there are definitely ways to do that!

There are women who are trafficked into sex. Does that mean sex can’t be consensual? Does the lack of consent in certain cases mean we should ban acts between two consenting adults?

When you’re watching porn it’s unfortunately very difficult to verify whether everybody in the video is of a legal age and consenting to the sex as well as the video being taken and posted.

Even if you research the company you never know the true circumstances of the actress. So many porn stars have killed themselves, been killed, or overdosed. So many regret it and have deep depression. You never truly know.

you can also research the actors, yeah you'll never know whats going on in their head but thats true for everyone. i know companies that care about their actors, ive heard testimony from a porn actor themselves praising the company they work for and how good a job they do at making sure the actors are OK after each shoot. youll never know whats going on in someones head, after some quick research and listening to testimonials from porn stars, it seems like the suicides are due to the behavior-

of the people outside of the porn, like the actors receiving hate online or death threats online. its still horrible yeah, but i think the way to solve this would be to be more respectful to porn actors if you ever are going out of your way to make contact with them. and remember that these are also just people trying to get by

if you feel like you cant trust a company you can also support amateur actors or independent actors. the way i watch it already doesnt bring any money to the companies so i dont have an issue doing it because i dont use major sites or sites that generate revenue. Ive heard porn stars talk about this too though, of being tired of people hoping theyd be "saved" because they chose to go into that industry, even if it ends up being a negative outcome. it's important to remember that the actors are-

By looking at only trusted sites or sites with testimonials from porn stars, the highest amount of suicides in a year was 5 from 2018-2019. There was no data for any amount of deaths outside of that timeframe that I could find from reliable sources and no information on drug overdose A study did find that mental illness is more prevalent in female actors as opposed to male actors though (national institute of health) A therapist who works with porn stars claimed that a lot of their depression -
