Different sizes for different flows and needs. The bigger they are usually the heavier the flow support. Meaning they can absorb more per product without leaking. They also have uses. Overnight which will usually be nicer to help with sleeping, so the angle you sleep in won’t cause leakage, flexi for the “on the go” person that doesn’t want a stiff pad in their undies while moving around. And liners for spotting and light flows

The big pads are usually for overnight, smaller ones are more comfortable especially if you’re moving around, and the smaller ones only work well if there’s less blood coming out (lower flow) which is usually closer to the end of the period.

Like when I woke up in a puddle of blood, that’s heavy flow. When it’s barbecue sauce phase and spotting it’s light flow

Exactly cuz it doesn’t make sense for you to use 10 regulars on day one of your period , instead you use like 3 super plus or ultras

Tampons have different sizes because sometimes if there’s more blood (heavy flow) you need a larger one to soak it up. Smaller tampons are for lighter days because it’s not good to leave them in for a super long time so there’s no point using a big one if there’s not alot of blood.

Tampons work in similar ways. Bigger tampons for more flow support. They can be really thin or thick based on your flow level. And can be used for similar overnight or day usage
