Not bait but genuinely what are ways guys can be more aware and help people who are victims?
it’s a way for them to avoid accountability and to be the victim in a situation that isn’t abt them. legit had that happen to me when i talked abt getting 🍇ed and they said some shit like “but what abt the men”

listening and learning. you guys need to fully understand what consent means and what rape culture looks like but importantly you can also educate your friends and call out other men when they’re being weirdos. they’re more likely to listen to you than us

Listening. That’s the biggest thing. Being open to being uncomfortable. These kinds of things won’t be comfortable. A lot of men shy away from it because the subject matter is so sensitive. Also supporting your friends if they speak of their experiences. Look up sexual assault and harassment statistics.

Speak up when people around you do and say shit that contributes to the culture and educate yourself to the best of your ability (it seems like you are already taking steps to do that). Lift up survivors and listen to them.

Listen. That’s it. Don’t try to speak about an experience you haven’t had. And stop thinking of people as victims unless they tell you they are. If someone doesn’t ask for comfort, don’t give it, it’s weird.
