Hey since no one wanted to warn me, I’ll be the one to warn you that you might experience pregnancy symptoms in the first few months as your body gets used to the hormones. This is normal! It’s also normal to spot for weeks or have no period at all. I recommend getting a cheap bulk bag of pregnancy tests from Amazon just to check every month if you’re not bleeding

Everyone is different but I wish I looked into it further before making a decision, nexplanon destroyed me from the inside out. I gained 50lbs, I was exhausted, depressed, had chronic headaches, and ended up getting severe cysts on my ovaries (not diagnosed PCOS) my periods were non existent while on it but when i realized everything I was dealing with was related to it i had it removed after 6 months.. from that point on my periods were impossible to track and manage. They either didnt exist

Or I’d be bleeding excessively for MONTHS. I ended up with a hysterectomy last fall cause it genuinely ruined my life. Not to be negative or induce fear or concern just genuine desire to educate on things to be aware of 🤍

Thank you it’s appreciated! I’ve been on birth control for years (p&e mix pills) and I know Nex is progestin only but with the pills I didn’t have any side effects other than emotional and harder time losing weight, so I’m hopeful that I won’t have such a hard time. I’m so sorry that happened to you though :(
