this is a totally unacceptable and totally inappropriate way to introduce one's experience with rape - as a counter to somebody else's expression of frustration with men. yes this is how i want to react. if this interaction happened irl most normal people would be disgusted and shocked and question why he would jump to such extreme defensive aggrievement in response to basically nothing
