I would politely disagree. I feel like it gives me a lot of insight to them. If we divide ourselves as people into 2 sections we separate ourselves from half of society. My friends who are Republicans and Democrats still understand my side and I see theirs. My Republican friends actually didn’t vote for their candidate as he didn’t follow their core views, because it’s not black and white or just 2 parties
Imo it’s still a bit petty since most people aren’t informed voters. Better to get to know someone and have productive conversations than live life isolated from people you think you disagree with. You’d be shocked to find out how much people who vote differently have in common with each other and agree on. There’s just no candidates that represents those commonalities
Same reason why the gender war thing is bullshit. Everyone is just fed slop for 8 hours a day or whatever the average screen time is now and its sole purpose is to cause division for profit. It’s all fake. 90% of people don’t even read past headlines anyway (proven by studies), so it’s not a stretch to say peoples opinions aren’t even their own anymore. They’re manufactured by a corporate algorithm that they consume and regurgitate in echo chambers
