Question: What do yall actually think if a guy randomly compliments you? Is the default assumption that he’s a creep? Genuinely curious

Depends on how it’s done, it really depends on tone, demeanor, and what is being complimented. Hair and eyes are usually fine with body parts but in general it’s better to compliment things like clothes, makeup, glasses, or personality. If it seems like there are strings attached it will come off creepy.

No, if it’s in a non-invasive way and you’re not pushing it in a creepy way it’s fine. I once had a guy say “I mean this respectfully and with no extra intentions, but you’re so beautiful” and that was probably the nicest compliment I’ve ever gotten

I’ll think he’s being flirty and I flirt back if I’m interested. If I’m not, I’ll just say thank you

Depends on how it is worded. There’s a difference between “that outfit looks great!” and “you look hot.”

Compliments arent inherently creepy, its when the guy sticks around expecting something from you or is demeaning, its the difference between hey you have a fat ass vs wow your hair looks really nice!

If I can’t repeat his comment back to him without him getting offended, he’s a creep.

Example: “That’s a lot of books for such a small girl/boy”. When his energy is returned, he doesn’t like it. Clearly a creep.
