Honestly get a good base routine started! Skin care is a great start to understand makeup. Also start with a few things. Mascara+ lipstick or gloss can look amazing! Start with the basics and follow tutorials, and go to a beauty store and ask about makeup. You don’t have to buy from there though, CVS or other stores like it are more than good enough

I’ve found that a little bit can go a really long way, most days I just wear eyeliner on my waterline with a little wing and it makes my eyes and face look so much prettier

Do your makeup on days you don’t have anywhere to go. Can’t stress enough how when I was learning I’d still do it on occasions I had to go out and just ended up leaving the house looking like a ghost. I also like some expense with a bit of convenience

I think that a smooth gel eyeliner might be best for beginners, I’m a huge fan of the colourpop twist eyeliners because they’re super smooth and I can make a sharp wing just by using my fingernail to smudge a line. Hard to explain but once you get the hang of it you can do good eyeliner super quickly

So far me it’s like: expensive foundation/cheaper concealer. Or like high end concealer, lower end bronzer and things like that. I think I mostly use higher end concealers for coverage and high end matte foundations bc I’ve tried a few lower end and I broke out. Everything else I get is from amazon 😭
