Catcalling isn't asking a girl out?

Trying to put cat calling and cold approaching in the same category shows how idiotic you are when it comes to women. Idk why some men find women such a rarity to act normal around. Cat calling is not asking us out

Catcalling is like literally yelling at a woman and then making a crude comment immediately after. Or like whistling. Some women like it 🤷🏼‍♂️ but should it be illegal no. Asking someone out in a polite manner isn’t catcalling. Catcalling implies a rude way of hitting on a girl specifically

If you are catcalling then obviously, but if you are just walking up and talking then no

Cat calling is very disrespectful, you whistle at a dog not me. I’m more about those men that are shy and nervous and I’m overwhelming their senses of being corned by a beautiful woman, that’s how I got my little nerd now

Imagine you’re in prison. A 300lb man stares across the yard at you. Then he calls out, “nice ass!” That’s how it feels to be catcalled.

Neither of those are illegal but cat calling is harassment. Cold approaching can also turn into harassment I’m ngl if you were rude about it or made her uncomfortable after her response

Are they not the same thing You’re still going up to a girl and complimenting her appearance

Are they not the same thing though Catcalling is “hey girl you look beautiful!” Asking her out is “hey girl you look beautiful! Wanna be my gf?” It’s virtually the same thing

Words have definitions, I'm not a dictionary, nor do I really care to correct someone who is stupid and/or ragebaiting on their wrong definitions

They’re virtually the same thing. Both have the same template and actions. One just asks for your number and the other doesn’t (usually)

Also also yes harassment is illegal

No they’re not? Cat calling is not “hey you’re beautiful”. That’s called a compliment. Learn the difference on how it can be executed not just words

They’re literally the same thing, catcalling is just an unwanted compliment from someone on the side of the road

Anonymous replying to -> OP 1w

Unwanted. Compliments are not some random unwanted thing and are polite. And you don’t only cat call from the side of the road idiot. It is not the same as a cold approach. You clearly have never politely interacted with women or just simply saw women as more than pawns to grab to know that difference

Most women are fine with being complimented. It’s sweet, genuine, simple and quick and lights up our day. You cat calling me like “hey cute girl!” And sexualizing me randomly in the street is not cute

upvote 15 downvote

Is calling a girl cute not a compliment? How are we supposed to know when you want compliments and don’t want them? You think we can read your minds????

one is yelling at a girl with the intention of being loud and annoying, the other is being a normal human being talking to another

so catcalling is talking AT a woman. there’s no walking up to them. it is a type of harassment. it’s unconsentual comments based on your appearance from a stranger.

Anonymous replying to -> #7 1w

When ever is a comment consensual? Girls don’t just walk around saying “you’re allowed to complement me now, I consent 🙂” lol are you crazy The real difference between catcalling and complimenting a girl is the way a guy looks. If it’s an ugly guy doing it, it’s creepy harassment, but if a hot guy does it, it’s sexy flirting. That’s how women view it.

Nope it’s his actions. I get the ick from cat calling it’s very immature, unprofessional and creepy. You walking up to me and allowing me to have space and calmly and politely giving a compliment is better

Literally not what they said you just want something to nitpick on

the point is a human being who clearly can harm you and is physically capable of doing things to you is yelling at you

Then why did they mention the weight and him being 300lbs to make him look bad?

upvote -1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 1w

that is to define the size difference assuming you are smaller than that

upvote 5 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 1w

Well I don’t think size has anything to do with looks. You’re constantly trying to make harassment okay bc a man looks good. Harassment is harassment no matter who it’s coming from. That was just an example of an intimidating like person doing it

upvote 5 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 1w

Are you #10? No you’re not so you can’t speak for them. And I’m half that size but that wouldn’t really be scary, most 300lb men can’t even walk a mile and can’t run for 15 seconds without collapse, or even run at all. Obese guys aren’t intimidating to me unless they’re 5 inches away from me and able to grab me

Anonymous replying to -> #3 1w

Cmon we all know a 300lb man is considered to be bad looking. That’s why she mentioned it to make him seem bad. Also I didn’t say it’s okay to harass if you’re hot. I said that the difference between what women consider as harassment and flirting is the way you look. Which is true btw.

Just go to any public space and pick out the ten closest 300lb men. I guarantee none of them look like the rock. And you clearly don’t know about prisoners, they’re not all super jacked roided superhumans like the movies. Usually actually the opposite. Many don’t take care of themselves and that’s part of the reason why they’re in there. 95% of the men in my family have been to jail, so I know about it. The ones who do take care mostly do calisthenics and get lean but not huge like Dwayne.

UFC has weight classes for a reason. Would you be afraid of a 300lb prisoner?

upvote 5 downvote

Since you have all been arguing about what I meant by 300lb man, I meant someone heavier and/or stronger than you. Whether the weight is fat or muscle is irrelevant because 300lbs sitting on your chest is still difficult to throw off.

The prison setting is meant to remind you of the high prison SA and rape rates. They are, in fact, similar to the SA and rape rates that women experience existing in the world. That is why the setting is prison.

Catcalling tells me to prepare to defend myself. Not all catcallers rape, but most rapists catcall. All catcallers are either stupid or uncaring. If there’s risk of retaliation, I show off my strength but do not engage. If no retaliation is likely, I middle finger back
