Where can I meet other hyper-independent, career oriented women?? I’m not looking for a bf/husband and it feels like all of my friends ultimately just want marriage and a family and I wanna meet friends w/similar goals to mine

Have you tried befriending queer women? I think also being in spaces related to your career like conferences or clubs can be a good way of finding like minded ppl

I definitely have! I think maybe you’re right because most of my friends are straight rn, I am too, but usually I have more that aren’t and lowkey maybe I’m missing it lol

Yeah I feel like straight women don’t really have the same pressure to unlearn internalized misogyny or the ways that comp het impacts them in the way queer women do so sometimes they’re kinda oblivious to how much they center men if that makes sense

I’m in the same boat as you though. I have a lot of straight friends and I don’t mind talking about relationships and stuff ocassionally but I don’t want to talk about it all the time because it’s boring and the guys they like aren’t remarkable in any way 😭 I’m also trying to find career/hobby oriented women who have stepped away from orienting their lives around what men do.
