Little treats. I prefer Rolos because they’re small. I do a part, I eat a treat. It’s like a reward. I’m an honors student and this just works for me

One of the best things I’ve done for myself is putting my phone at the bottom of my backpack or out of sight whenever I need to lock in. If I don’t see it, I don’t think about it as much, and I get much less distracted (I have ADHD so I’m qualified on this)

Flash cards, practice tests, or any sort of active learning because you’re forced to actually think. It’s also tangible tasks you can complete like I completed this many cards or I finished a full practice test.

Set timers… or hold yourself from doing something you want to do until you accomplish the goal you set for your study sesh

This is sweet, but those things aren’t great incentives for procrastionators and lazies like OP and I. OP should just force themselves to complete tasks. Discipline is the only way because it’s an action, not mere plans that can fall through

True I guess it’s not necessarily motivating, but when I was feeling lazy it felt much more manageable to do something like flash cards cuz I could do so many flash cards and be done.

Also when it’s on DND so you don’t have to hear the buzz every time you get a notification
