4 states, plus that’s avg costs so that means women are doing more things to raise their rates, base rates is either men are higher or equal. I don’t give a fuck what you’ve seen, even outside of maternity care women still visit the doctor more, does that mean you should pay more? It’s stupid and sexist

I’m not saying I agree with it just giving some facts. I also think it’s weird to base prices on gender. My parents are both teachers and they get different pay because one is a man. My dad even got more days off when I was born than my mom. It’s truly fucked up

I agree that discrimination is fucked up with teacher pay and stuff but that’s a lot harder to prove because there’s a lot of variables, with insurance it’s just cut and dry, they can and will charge you more if your a man

I feel like this post is like victim blaming, it’s the same thing when a 16-year-old gets added onto their parents insurance the plan goes up because the first driver’s crash statistics or sm

raw-skill-wise, men do tend to be better drivers. however, men are much more likely to take risks and push the car to its limits, leading to more crashes, especially fatal ones. they’re also more likely to drive drunk, which doesn’t help the stats. think about it this way: a nascar driver crashes more often than i do, but that doesn’t mean i’m a better driver.

Statistically men are more likely to get into dangerous high speed crashes, duis, and get into more accidents total, women get into more fender benders by a little bit. None of that should determine rate though

Women get pregnant men do not. They also have increased risk of many chronic problems that require lifetime care. Would that then make it okay for them to pay in increased cost? Probably not
