Do u guys ever think about how higher health insurance premiums for women were rightfully struck down a few years ago but men are still paying more for car insurance bc they’re men?

I watched two guys race expensive cars and crash on the highway. Women simply don't do that nearly as often. Plus some states have banned insurers from using gender as a rating factor. Also in some states women actually pay slightly more on average

Young men tend to get into more accidents. It’s not a discrimination thing.

That’s what I was thinking in some cases it’s reversed by sexist guys thinking women aren’t great drivers so it’s higher

4 states, plus that’s avg costs so that means women are doing more things to raise their rates, base rates is either men are higher or equal. I don’t give a fuck what you’ve seen, even outside of maternity care women still visit the doctor more, does that mean you should pay more? It’s stupid and sexist

I’m not saying I agree with it just giving some facts. I also think it’s weird to base prices on gender. My parents are both teachers and they get different pay because one is a man. My dad even got more days off when I was born than my mom. It’s truly fucked up

I agree that discrimination is fucked up with teacher pay and stuff but that’s a lot harder to prove because there’s a lot of variables, with insurance it’s just cut and dry, they can and will charge you more if your a man

Age discrimination is semi-reasonable but still a little dumb, at the end of the day your rate should be based on YOUR behavior, not someone else’s
