I don't think the fact we don't have walkable areas is why the country is unhealthy. It's probably more on the fact that healthy food cost more money, and most Americans are near the poverty line. I also think American has some of the most extreme weather conditions, which make it a lot harder to walk during certain parts of the year.
South Florida. It’s somewhat walkable around me but I’ve been asked if I was homeless because I was walking to just get out of the house and do some work on my tablet out of my kitchen table. I was like “no?” And they asked me why I wasn’t driving. Like… cars are so ubiquitous it’s weird to walk to places unless you’re in a mall.
Nope. I shower in the morning and use deodorant. My hair does have a habit of looking more like I stuck a finger in a light socket than the managed curls the products promise and when I sweat my back and forehead tend to get the most sweaty which doesn’t help my hair either. But I don’t think I smell like BO or anything.
I’ve lived here almost all my life take a break and get a cool (not cold) drink every mile or two and you’ll be fine. Lmao most of our pe was outside playing games, running a mile etc. To say you can’t leave your house for the heat or at the risk of rain is… wow. Besides until it smells like and feels like rain it’s not going to rain.
i said long distances, and severe hear & thunderstorms. not light rain... and it being sunny outside. i haven't lived in Florida my whole life but i did live in Texas and we were encouraged to not go outdoors during extreme heat or if there were hurricane warnings. not to mention ppl up north shouldn't walk around during severe cold weather either. i'm just saying that i understand why ppl don't feel comfortable
