This isn’t a question and sorry for that. I just wanted to put this here because I feel like men are very misunderstood when it comes to dating and I know a lot of women have questions about it. This basically sums up a good portion of dating as a man

My problem personally is I am told that men now want to be asked out in places like here by guys but every time I do I am judged for it. Then I come back here and ask and they say it was “just bad luck”. How many times will it be just bad luck?

Idk if it’s that deep, I’m just chopped and overweight. Until that changes, there’s really no point in trying lol

I mean I see that, but also we all feel the same way. I’ve approached and being rejected isn’t that bad tbh. I feel like a bigger problem is those who internalize it.

I feel like dating today is hell for everyone. I think it’s something like 60% of dating happens online now and honestly they shouldn’t judge you for it. I have no idea why they would do that other than it being somewhat unnatural to use like yikyak and yikyak like communities for dating but still that’s your call on what you want to do. People are naturally judgmental towards those who break norms

Oh I don't use YikYak for dating. I'm talking about in person. Just people on YikYak seem to want women to ask but when I actually do to people in real life they see it as “not my place”

if you’re cold approaching, then that’s just how it is. men have the exact same question for women anytime we give them advice, but it doesn’t work 100% of the time—or even most of the time. the guys who judge you for approaching them def werent for you, anyways :p

I don’t see anything wrong with internalizing it, as long as it’s a catalyst for change, rather than an inhibitor.

I guess- but I’ve never seen a single person who internalized rejection for the better. Maybe that’s just my experience though.

Idk it got me to start therapy and change my diet. I lost like 20 pounds this summer.
