Do girls tend to actually value looks or personality more for a long-term relationship? I have a huge crush on a girl that I've been friends with but I'm completely chopped (kinda fat, comically bad overbite, etc.).

I think my boyfriend is very attractive (he’s my type) but he’s also a 6 fr skinny nerd who did clarinet and colorguard and had horrible acne when we got together. I think all the nerdy and band stuff was super cool but not everyone did, and while the acne and him not being ripped didn’t matter to me he always felt insecure over it. While physical attraction does typically matter, I’d argue personality matters much much more.

Most of my friends say I'm one of the sweetest guys they've ever met, so I'm not too worried about personality (even if I am a lil bit awkward at times), and my IQ is ~160, but I still feel like that's not enough

Every stable relationship I've ever seen (personally) was between two people who were originally friends? I think what we mean by "romantic" is different. My body count is 0 and I don't plan to change that anytime soon lol

To put it in a different way, I'm socially awkward but I have 2 complicated utility patents as a freshman Ik IQ is a pretty dumb number but, for all its imperfections, it does give you a general picture

Nah IQ means nothing. Someone can have a really high IQ and be terrible with social skills, or exam taking or math or whatever. IQ is not what matters for success
