Is it okay to befriend a woman to get to know her more if you’re physically attracted to her but want to be cautious in getting to know her first? Or is it better to just ask her out from the beginning and get to know her that way?

Either works😭, depends on the pace you want to go

of course it's okay, but if she doesn't want to be romantically involved, you can't complain about being friendzoned, and if you cut her off as a friend because she rejected you, you're an asshole

I strongly prefer the former

Both can work! If you stretch it out too long before asking her out she may feel betrayed and that you only wanted to get close with her for ulterior motives. It’s a sensitive situation so just tread lightly!

IMO bro if you’re going to be friends with her for the sole purpose of possibly dating her then you should just ask her out. If you become friends and figure out you want to pursue her, she might not reciprocate and you might just end up wasting your time. But if you’re okay with her just being a friend no matter how it goes then go for it.

It is pussy behavior to hide behind a false friendship when you just want to date the girl. If there’s no intention of staying friends if a relationship doesn’t happen then OP shouldn’t try to be friends w her in the first place.

So tell me what should he do instead he should just propose a date without knowing her and if he decides he wants to go slower it’s a problem? “Pussy behavior” doesn’t exist if you’re already making a first move

Yes he should propose a date without knowing her? That’s literally how you get to know people. There’s nothing wrong with taking things slow. Asking for a date instead of just trying to be friends allows them to establish the “I’m talking to you to decide if I want you” dynamic. Instead of just sitting in the friend zone having to wait for hints and shit. Even then, if they’re just friends OP will never know if she finds him attractive or if she would even consider him until later down the road.
