If the DoorDash lady had just waited after filing her complaint, she’d be fine. But because she recorded the incident and immediately posted it with identifying info beforehand now she’s facing felony charges for doxing. Not everything needs to be online.

Exactly. Her only problem was posting it in a moment of frustration instead of waiting and dealing with it through the police

I mean if she did what she was supposed to do to verify she sent the order which is take a picture of the order at the door and leave she wouldn’t be in this mess

Deleted and reworded an earlier post bc there’s conflicting info. Some are saying she opened the door and have screenshots but no video and idk what video is original. She has admitted she didn’t think she had a case to make charges and the cops agreed when she tried tho. So idk how open the door first was, if the guy was malicious, did indecent exposure or if intent is a factor in it. All I do know is that she shouldn’t have posted the video and spread inappropriate materials by doing so.

Also shes claiming she was sexually assaulted because of this and, though I can definitely imagine the incident being traumatic regardless of if the door was already open or if she opened it, that’s technically not true. Seeing a person naked passed out drunk in THEIR own home in and of itself isn’t sexual assault. They have to be actively undressing in front of you while trying to coerce or grab at you, showing clear intent for that.

It being online is the problem, I saw the original and she did not say she opened the door. Some people started the rumor and it grew so far that people even doctored screenshots to make it appear like she did. Bc she posted it online and it got so much attention there’s so much misinformation it’s insane

When people say indecent exposure is sexual assault they don’t mean legally. while I don’t agree with her calling it SA, many academic sources do argue that indecent exposure is SA

Correct. At the end of the day the debate should only be about her handling of the situation, not the situation itself. I 100% believe her as a victim because creeps act irrationally like that and the situation is entirely feasible. But bringing it to TikTok during an active investigation (or before, idk the timeline of that) was just stupid

Ppl have found the police report from the department. It’s been stated from ppl the man knew that she opened the door wider than what it was already opened at, videoed and left and that a friend of his. I guess the person who took the guy home who knows saying they were going to submit the footage to the police from the guy’s ring camera to use in court. But even if it was she’s charged with posting it bc it’s weird to do that

There really is! 😭 I try to look into things myself but have heard so many different versions while trying not to get flashed trying to find the OG videos even I’m confused. And her posting videos incriminating herself while spiraling and spreading conspiracies about TikTok not wanting to pay her and trying to silence her definitely isn’t helping. I get freaking out over something traumatizing happening but again that’s why we don’t post everything online.

If it were me the last thing I’d ever be worried about is someone in their home if I’m bringing you a DoorDash order anyway I’m just there to work and be on my way unless I’m suspecting you were dead and I’d call police first 😭

As a ex DoorDash driver it would be incredibly scary to walk up to someone’s door and see a naked man in view. like DoorDash girl, I also dashed alone at night as a woman and it can get creepy

Oh you’re right! There was something about ring camera footage the cops had access to or something. Which would explain why it’s not public. We don’t even know when she started recording the OG video. The door could’ve been like that or it’s only showing her after she opened it. I think DoorDash was doing their own investigation when she decided to post. Then people on TT told her to go to the cops. And because she did that (and posted the video incriminating herself) now she’s being charged.

The og video shows her approaching the open door, although ofc she could have walked away and came back to record who knows. But I also find the ring camera thing interesting bc in the video you don’t see a ring doorbell, usually they glow blue

Yeah I think that’s why this case is so charged for so many people. Cause creepy opportunistic dudes DO exist but so do drunk guys passed out. Women being harassed and wanting their voices heard DO exist but so do chronically online people oversharing and doxing people for clout in the process. Basically there’s a lot of unknowns in this case so everyone is gonna project their own trauma or experiences onto it.

They don’t glow unless you press the button. I have one that won’t glow unless you actually ring it first but the camera is always accessible from our phones so we can see you even if you didn’t ring it. Which is why it’s easy for my family to open it to ppl we know immediately

He prob didn’t lock his door and she opened it. But he doesn’t have a security alarm just camera footage from the following day. If the security alarm went off it can alert his neighbors but so far no one said anything but the friend he was with

I don’t think it’s fair to make any assumptions, it’s all he said she said. I’ll only trust a police report or case report at this point

So far it’s not in her favor but so far he’s innocent until proven guilty. And he was drunk. I wouldn’t be that intoxicated for his safety but eh rough times can happen to anyone. I hope whoever the party is will get their justice and all rightful evidence does come out eventually

Idk I never get drunk to the point of indecently exposing myself or even leaving the door cracked but maybe that’s just me😭

I don’t think ours is from RING specifically so that’s likely why. I’d have to lookup what we use

That’s why I said eh rough times for anyone I dont judge how drunk you want to get. But I don’t randomly fault you either for it bc well…you’re drunk no matter the capacity of intoxication. Just follow your instruction and it’ll be fine. But 1 thing I do hope for is that neither have no previous criminal record. Bc if either are known to do it that’s twice as bad
