I told myself over and over that being cheated on and being abused wasn’t what I should sacrifice my life for. So I packed everything I had, slept in my car to get away from him and never looked back. Looking back now I wish I did it sooner but I’m just happy I did it.

My ex of 4 years. My Dad said “I thought you were going to marry him” when I told him we broke up LMAO. sorry to be cliche but time was the only thing to help. 1st year was horrible, at year 2 I finally am finding happiness in my own company

My ex of 5 years dump me because because I told her that I couldn’t be a doctor anymore. Meanwhile, I was deciding to put my childhood dog down. And I had just been diagnosed with a BRAIN TUMOR!

Have lots of self care time, invest in friendships and your community and relearn what it’s like to be single (by being single I mean enjoying your own company and loving yourself again). Pour all the love you used for your ex into yourself and your friends/family/etc.
