Ok I apologize bc I worded this badly earlier. Is it true most women still feel like they have no choice but wear makeup? I live in an area where a lot of us don’t and their doesn’t seem to be any pressure about it so I was surprised

It kinda depends on the environment, I work in a corporate job and there definitely feels like a bit of a pressure there because everyone kinda wants you “looking your best” so a lot of my work friends feel the need to wear it regularly

I don’t wear any in my daily life but I feel like I have to for special events/interviews/etc. I know I don’t but just feels right

I genuinely was not trying to be a pick me I was just curious about other people’s experiences

I don’t wear makeup daily, but I think majority older than Millennials have this mentality, and then it gets to like a 40-50% in millennials and Gen Z yet getting higher in Gen Alpha (that’s a whole other issue of children trying to look like influencers)

I personally only wear it when I wanna feel extra cute (fancy event, hanging out with friends, dates)

I don’t. Makeup makes my face look like someone else, and when I do wear makeup, the sight of my face in the mirror feels like worms crawling under my skin.

And follow up. To the women talking about how men expect them to for dates and stuff, why are they willing to put up with it, Why not avoid and shame men like that

Yep. Men are free, and there’s an infinite amount of them.
