i think it’s fair to expect your partner to at least think your hobbies are cool or interesting, at least positive about it and not hating it.

I wouldn’t agree with that either only the not hating. You should be fine with your partner being neutral indifferent to your hobbies. There’s no shortage of people with lifelong marriages that don’t share hobbies or interests

all i’m saying is when you talk about it with them inevitably, you’d want them to be interested and curious. me and my partner have pretty much opposite interests but when we talk about them, we listen. we ask questions and are interested, despite us both never wanting to take part in them ourselves.
