My best friend keeps going above and beyond to make time for me, lavish me with gifts, remembering even the tiniest details about me, and acting like my bf. But he has a girlfriend he insists he loves and time and time again refuses to breakup with her.

Maybe he genuinely just sees you as a friend and doesn’t even think of you that way. He’s probably just being nice because that’s how he is so dont get ahead of yourself.

He’s overly flirty. Im never not supportive of his relationship but he makes it seem like he wants more with me. He’ll even ask if i can sneak over to his house late at night. Do guy friends with girlfriends do that without ulterior feelings?

We’re eachothers best friend, I’m his according to him despite having a girlfriend and i brought that up to him and he said “my gf and best friend are two different things, there’s things i confide in you that I can’t with her”. He’s very sweet and we have all the same interests and wit. It’s very fun to be around him, but idk if he’s seeking more out of me by treating me better than even his own gf I feel so guilty and confused at the same time.

please re read this and think about how you would feel if you had a boyfriend who was saying those things to a girl best friend if you end up with this boy he will treat you how hes treating his current girlfriend and another girl will take your place. youre not doing wrong, youre confused. he is absolutely not a loyal man, and you should be with someone who values HIS GIRL. if you wont cut him off for the girl’s sake then do it for your own
